Forbidden Fruit Strain – The Ultimate Guide

What is Forbidden Fruit Strain?

Welcome to another strain review. In this article, we will talk about one of my favorites, Forbidden fruit Strain. Forbidden fruit is an extremely potent strain with irresistible flavor and balance, which are the qualities that recreational users look for in a strain.

The Forbidden fruit is an Indica dominant hybrid cannabis strain but still has some elements of Sativa. The ratio of Indica and Sativa is 70%/30%. So, it provides the best of both worlds. Lab test shows that the THC level of Forbidden fruit strain can be anywhere from 15% to 25%.

Apart from its distinct taste and flavor, the Forbidden fruit strain gives you a blissful elevating feeling and puts you in a total state of relaxation. This strain is prevalent among beginners and recreational users. The experienced users also enjoy it for its fruity flavor.

Background and Lineage

The Forbidden fruit strain is a cross of Cherry pie and Tangie, two very potent and tasty strains.

Tangie is a Sativa dominant strain bred by DNA Genetics and the Crockett family farms that also goes by the name of Tangerine dream. It was famous throughout the 90s because of its flavor and uplifting effects, and then it sorts of went off the scene. A breeder named Crockett family farms had the cut, and they joined up with DNA Genetics and put out the Tangie or the Tangerine dream strain. It has a super citrusy intense flavor.

On the other hand, Cherry pie is a very balanced 50-50 strain bred by the Cookie fam genetics. It got a super funky sweet taste of dough and cherry. It gives a very positive, upbeat, full-body buzz, which is very pleasant and relaxing at the same time.

So, the outcome of crossing these two strains gives the Forbidden fruit strain a genetics profile that is very heavy on fruity flavors as well as enchanting effects.

Types of High

It is an excellent strain for unwinding at the end of a busy, stressful day. Because of its high Indica ratio, you will instantly start feeling a tremendous dose of relaxation flowing through your body.

The experience begins with the taste of sweet, fruity cookies tricking down your throat and latching of your tongue. With the exhale, the flavor is even more profound as your body releases the sweet, fruity smoke from your lungs.

The high THC level of this strain will give you a powerful high starting in your head and making its way to the rest of your body. With a tranquilizer-like relaxation, you will feel sleepy, but it wouldn’t knock you out straight away.

Along with the physical impact, Forbidden fruit strain also delivers pleasant cognitive release. It will clear your mind from clutter and negative feelings and place you in a meditative state. Your mind and body will start aligning, and you will feel complete bliss.

The effects will start strong, but slowly it will reduce into a sleepy intoxication, and you will have a great night of sleep while your mood is uplifted along the way.

If you are a beginner, take it in a small dose to avoid unnecessary paranoia from happening.

Medical Benefits

Forbidden fruit strain is generally an excellent all-around strain. Its unique genetics profile makes it attractive for managing various conditions.

Many patients use this strain to manage muscle spasms, migraine headaches, and chronic pains. Forbidden fruit strain is also potentially ideal for controlling chronic stress, lack of appetite, nausea, and anxiety disorders.

Its sedative qualities calm the mind if your mind is always wandering and racing and help you sleep.

Adverse Effects

All cannabis strains have some common adverse effects. The high THC content makes Forbidden Fruit a super potent strain. For that reason, the same reactions resulting from marijuana use seem to be more pronounced.

People love Forbidden fruit strain for its minimal side effects for a strain that is quite so potent. It will rarely make you feel dizzy or paranoid, but these should only occur when you smoke or consume it in large doses.

Like other marijuana strains, Forbidden fruit strain can cause a sense of feeling dehydrated, making your mouth feel dry. You may also feel like your eyes are dry and itchy.

Growing Forbidden Fruit Strain

With the right amount of light, the Forbidden fruit strain is quite easy to grow. It is a very low maintenance strain, and it has a high resistance to mold, pests, and mildew. If your growing skill is intermediate or above, then this is the perfect strain for you to grow.

Forbidden fruit strain can be grown both indoor and outdoor.

Growing Indoor

The plant grows quite effortlessly indoors, but you will need to provide enough space and air circulation for this strain to grow well.
